An informal weekend of Gurdy playing, technique learning and tune sharing based at Otley, near Leeds.
Starting on Friday evening, the gathering will be at Clifton Village Hall, a mile out of Otley town centre. There is space for indoor sleeping, a full kitchen, mens and ladies toilets and a pub next door. There is a reasonable sized car park for 10 cars / camper vans and a small field if folks are inclined to camp!
Sleeping will be communally in the hall which will sleep 10-12. Otley also has a couple of B&Bs if that is more to your liking.
Cost will be £30 for the weekend, which is just to cover hall hire. This is from 7pm Friday to mid-morning Sunday. There will be a reduced rate of £20 for those stopping in camper vans or elsewhere.
WORKUPDATE – Paul Sherwood will be running a beginner’s workshop on the Saturday lunchtime, followed by a workshop focusing on playing for dancers with Jon Loomes. See the itinerary page for more info.
